Embassy Cafe
About This Spot
Stepping into Embassy Cafe, nestled in the mellow calm of Mortimer Square, feels like entering a softly lit retreat from the city’s pulse. The gentle hum of friendly chatter blends with the cosy, slightly smoky air — a familiar embrace that invites you to pause and settle in. Here, time seems to slow just enough to enjoy the quiet satisfaction of good company and thoughtful comfort.
This is a place that moves at a comfortable, unhurried rhythm, where mornings stretch luxuriously over cups of rich coffee and plates filled with hearty, honest food. The atmosphere leans toward the classic neighborhood café—warm with a touch of understated character, far from anything rushed or overly polished. It’s a spot where baristas know their craft and the simple act of sharing a meal feels quietly special.
The menu reveals a genuine affection for classic breakfast comforts and thoughtful twists that cater to a range of tastes. Whether you arrive craving soft-poached eggs nestled on toast with creamy avocado, or the bright tang of fresh-squeezed orange juice alongside a flaky, subtly sweet pastel de nata, the offerings feel crafted to nourish both body and spirit. Seasonal touches and freshly prepared dishes, like delicately spiced chicken curries or crisp salads, weave a diverse yet approachable thread through the experience.
In including both long-standing favorites and welcoming vegetarian options, Embassy Cafe becomes a place where everyone can find a dish to suit their mood—whether seeking a quick, warming breakfast or a leisurely brunch that lingers. The friendly, attentive staff reflect the atmosphere — calm, courteous, and quietly reassuring — adding to the feeling that this is a café you can return to often and always feel welcome.
For those who appreciate spaces that feel lived-in rather than staged, Embassy Cafe quietly holds its own. It’s less about spectacle and more about the human little moments shared over well-prepared food and drink. Perfect for a solo morning ritual, a relaxed catch-up, or simply a moment to savor the subtle pleasures of the day unfolding.

exceeded expectations — from the warm, welcoming atmosphere to the quality of the food, everything was spot on. The setting was softly lit and slightly smoky in that classic, cosy way, creating the perfect vibe inside. The food was an absolute highlight. Every dish was cooked to perfection — especially the party sausage, which was simply exceptional. Light, flavourful, and perfectly prepared, it showed the care and attention that goes into everything they serve.

We recently visited this cafe and had the pleasure of enjoying a delicious vegetarian breakfast prepared by Chef Deniz. The food was absolutely fantastic—fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. After that, I enjoyed a cake and coffee, both of which were equally delightful. The cake was moist and tasty, and the coffee was rich in taste

Excellent choices of dishes. I was expecting a greasy spoon cafe bit it is so far from that. My food and service was fantastic.Lots of choices. We had omelette and Greek salad and a coffee for just over £15 each. Staff were friendly and there were tables òutside. Was a bit cold inside because the door had to be open. Got trapped in the loo, as did my friend. Not on purpose. I freed myself and then let her out. Otherwise, 5 stars. I shall definitely revisit.

We visited this cosy cafe on our first day as tourists to London, which is always nerve-racking. The staff were wonderfully warm and inviting and the food was delicious and plentiful, exactly what we needed for a full day of charging around the city. We’re lucky to have such a place so close to our accommodation and will be visiting again!

This cafe is really nice and the people are amazing, walked in and waited for few minutes as there was other customers being served and was served with English breakfast and a cup of coffee, they even had to change my served food after realizing that I only eat halal food. Inside was a baby who couldn’t help but keep looking at me while smiling, probably wondering where I was coming from I would recommend this cafe if you find yourself in the neighborhood or planning to visit! Keep up the great services!!
